(internet, custom software, archival prints)
With the Trump era creating such cultural division and anxiety, the news and internet cycling and raging on both sides of the debate, one finds themself wanting a more quiet, contemplative space to retreat to. An alternative place that remembers and forgets at the same time.
Re/Sketch was built as that place, composed of randomizing, non-linear real-time 3D computational sketches or digital paintings that create and forget a new piece every 35 seconds. The sketches are similar, but never exactly repeated. If a viewer does like a sketch they can lock to the screen to keep it from disappearing. The structure of the project is constructed as free art to be shared over the internet and displayed on most any device, from a phone on a bus to a large screen tv in a living room.
